I’ve Created a New Blog-please check it out if you love animals or even just like them

About my new blog;

I created this blog to help save, heal, rescue and find forever homes for animals. I will post news stories that will ask readers to take action if they feel so inclined. I will post pictures of animals up for adoption. I will do my best to make sure the sites, organizations, rescues & shelters are legitimate and sincerely committed to the life and love of these animals. I would love to hear from readers that would also like to help save animals.

This is the second blog I’ve created. My first, Dipsintheroad.wordpress.com dips in the road  has been fun, an inspiration and evolution of my soul. It has been and continues to be a  journey that brings me back to my true self.  The love and concern I have for animals deserves a space of its own.

So I welcome my fellow animal lovers, activists and rescuers. The inspiration for this site comes from my own rescue pup Gracie, who with the love of others, escaped a high kill shelter in Arkansas.  She is my friend and soulmate. I am inspired by ://www.luckypuprescue.org  who brought Gracie to Maine. I am inspired by the thousands of people around the globe that are working, not giving up, to protect and save animals.  I am immensely inspired by David Hendrickson and his brothers at Hendrick Boards and A Loving Goodbye.
In Gratitude,
Jen Donahue

Boy Creates a Dog Bucket List To Thank His Dying Service Dog

  • Open Group
  • Please help Cole grant his last wish for Bingo who is his Hearing/Medical Service/Therapy Dog. Bingo is dying and Cole w

ants more then anything to grant Bingo’s last wish…dog treats from around the world!

While all offers of help are appreciated, financial donations will not be accepted. If you are not able to send treats and feel you you may donate money to your local shelter in Bingo’s name. Please do not use Cole’s wish for his dog into a promotional event. If you are a business owner we appreciate you not creating a “If you purchase” opportunity for your business as this is merely a request to help fulfill a child’s wish for his dog. Please allow it to remain that way. Thank you.

    Please, send dog treats to:

    Cole Hein/Bingo Hein
    PO Box 413
    Shilo, MB
    R0K 2A0

Any inquiries can be emailed to heinsight2020@hotmail.com

Please read Cole and Bingo’s truly heroic story and journey over the last 7 years.

Cole has made up a ‘LICK IT LIST” for Bingo instead of a “Bucket List” humans use!

    1) This is where the Lick It List comes from Cole would like his friends and family to send Bingo dog treats from where ever they live so that Bingo can ‘TASTE” world.

    2) Take Bingo for one last “public” outing to Ruckers. It is a place that you go and play video games etc…

    3) To walk around the block twice with Bingo but Cole broke it down to 1 block one day and then the 2nd block the next day.

    4) A photo shoot with just Bingo and Cole (this has already been arranged)

Bingo was trained by Dani Forbes as a certified Hearing/Medical Service Dog by National Service dogs in Ont, Canada in May 2005.
    National Service Dogs website is

In June 2005 Bingo was trained by George Leonard and certified by MSAR Manitoba Search and Rescue as a MSAR Elite Service K-9 she is trained to work in the field of therapy

Bingo being a MSAR Elite Service K-9 she is trained to work in the field of therapy
Bingo was allowed to visit Cole in the hospital when he had under gone numerous surgeries, hospital stays and medical testing. Having Bingo by Cole’s sides during many of these difficult times made a huge difference for Cole. Cole didn’t have to face anything alone with Bingo by his side

What makes Bingo so unique is she is the world’s only hearing dog that barks!

Please help Cole and his best friend! Send Bingo a treat and help us spread the word about Bingo who is a very heroic dog!

Cole was born premature and has a potentially lethal form of apnea – he stops breathing unexpectedly and needs help to start again. Since birth, this has meant constant supervision.

In 2005, Bingo took over the job. Enabling Cole’s Dad to deploy to Afghanistan and most of all Cole’s Mom was finally able to raise her 3 children for the first time alone in 4 1/2 yr.

Bingo enabled the family to live without the 24/7 care of nurses and health care workers that were in there home constantly from the time Cole and his twin brother come home from the NICU!

Bingo is a Jack Russell service dog, trained to alert people when Cole needs help. In the first 6 months, she saved Cole’s life 3 times. A constant companion, Bingo has given Cole freedom and safety, devotion, and friendship.

Bingo was retired as a Medical/Hearing Dog in Aug. 2010. Cole since the age of 8 has been able to somehow control his body so that when he does “retch, dry heave or gag” he will continue to breath again on his own. Thank fully, Cole no longer requires a Service Medical/Hearing Dog.

Bingo has Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CCDS), seizures, and arthritis. Bingo’s medical conditions are being treated by a great Veterinary Clinic.

Bingo is now a very old dog. At thirteen, Bingo will soon take up her last post. Cole wants to thank his friend and see her through in comfort and style. So Cole wrote a canine – a Lick It List – of the things he wants to do with his friend while there is still time. He wants to take Bingo on a global culinary adventure.

Cole needs your help: since he and Bingo cannot travel to world to seek out new dog foods, they need to food to come to them! They need you to send a sample of your (or better yet, your dog’s) favourite dog treat. Or something nice and exotic and especially foreign to Canada.

(Your dog treat donations will be put to excellent, dog-drooling use. What Bingo doesn’t get around to eating will be donated to a local shelter.)
